Dr. Selina Ding Wai Eng

President

Dr. Ding, Founder and Clinical Director of Ding Psychology Centre, is a registered clinical psychologist with over 24 years’ experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. She is trained in Multigenerational Family Therapy. Her work actively involves exploring relational dynamics of families, addressing their inherent, unresolved intergenerational issues, and addressing how their interactional patterns impact each family member’s well-being. She works collaboratively with families to foster healthier relationships, and help them heal and transform.

Currently President of the Malaysian Marriage and Family Therapy Association (MyMFT) and former Honorary Treasurer (2023–2025). Dr. Ding previously served as Treasurer of the Malaysian Society of Clinical Psychology (2011–2012, 2013–2014) and is a member of the International Association of Collaborative Practice since 2024. She presents nationally and internationally, promoting systemic treatment outcomes, practice, and advocacy in Malaysia.

As a clinical psychologist, her therapeutic approaches also include cognitive behaviour therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and play therapy. Additionally, as an educational psychologist, she partners with parents, teachers, and schools to address emotional and behavioural disorders, learning difficulties, school refusal, and academic underachievement. Since 2009, she has pioneered the Ding Dyslexia Program, helping children overcome learning barriers.
